Chlamydial antigens are detected using a monoclonal antibody to the C. trachomatis major outer membrane protein (MOMP) that has been linked to fluorescein isothiocyanate.

The Pathfinder Chlamydia Culture Confirmation provides clear and reliable staining of intracellular inclusions (elementary bodies and reticulate bodies) in tissue culture. The monoclonal antibody used in this kit is directed against chlamydial lipopolysaccharide.
