Bio-Rad has chosen the best epitope targets with high aminoacid homology between genotypes to maximize sensitivity without decreasing specificity. The recombinant proteins used were developed by research teams at Bio-Rad and have undergone specific chemical treatment to create a spatial conformation (refolding) for better detection of associated antibodies. These proteins are produced for the Monolisa Anti-HCV ULTRA Test Kit at Bio-Rad facilities.
